Lemon Bee Balm

This plant is the most prolific flower we’ve grown on our farm, period. Lemon Bee Balm (Monarda citriodora) has a more rapid growth rate than its Bergamot Lavender relative; a few spring plants of this mint-family rhizome that a small stand of plants will fill out a wide swath of garden area by autumn. Plants form dense pink / light purple blossoms five to six inches tall, and like the name suggest, bees absolutely love this stuff. Has similar plant uses to Bergamot Lavender; plant foliage has an oregano scent when crushed.

100 days to bloom from seed. Perennial.
