Red Russian (Brassica napus) is a very hardy kale originally from Siberia. Plants produce flat, light green/almost blue tinted leaves with purple-red veins. Leaves are tasty raw or cooked, and young stems are especially crisp and sweet when produced in cooler seasons. Sow from winter through late spring, and late summer through early fall.
Plants are biennials that will produce harvestable baby leaves in 40 days and larger leaves in 60 days when seeded in ideal soil and and climate conditions.
Seeds are certified organic.
