Elecampane (Inula helenium) is a perennial flower with broad leaves and roots that can be used for tea. Also known as elf-wort.
Flowers can sometimes occur in first year plants, but more commonly in the second year of growth. Roots can be harvested and divided approximately 200 days after seeding in ideal soil and climate conditions.
