Anise

Maltese Anise (Pimpinella anisum) is native to Cyprus, Lebanon-Syria, Palestine, and Turkey. Anise is a low growing carrot family plant that produces gorgeous white-flower umbels and attract beneficial insects to the garden. The foliage can be used for tea or culinary seasoning, but the seeds that have the potent licorice scent and flavor.
