Common / Dyer's Madder

Madder, or Dyer's Madder (Rubia tinctorum) is classic dye plant in the coffee family – roots typically produce deep reds and burgundy shades. Plants are perennial and seeds have a prolonged germination time (up to one month), so do be patient while these get started. 

Roots are typically harvested for dye purposes in their second year of growth. Seeds are certified organic.
