Sasha's Altai (or Sasha's Pride) Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a Siberian heirloom originally brought to the U.S. in 1990 by seedsman Bill McDorman. This is the most dependable all-purpose tomato we carry. While it's a great strain for colder/cooler climates with shorter summers, it's quite productive in hotter climates such as ours. Sasha's produces four inch, slightly flattened, red fruits that have a super juicy flavor. Plants have a compact (determinate) growth habit; this one is perfect for container growers.
Tomatoes are perennial crops grown as annuals in most of the Northern Hemisphere. Sasha's Altai can fruit as early as 50 from seedling transplants and 90-100 days from seed under ideal climate and soil conditions.
Seeds are certified organic.
